Autoresponders – 2 Tested Autoresponder Templates

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Here are two tested and proven autoresponder templates that you can use right away to build rapport and sales. The first message should be very brief and to-the-point. Why? Because they’ve come to your squeeze page, typed in their details, had to confirm the opt-in message and now… they just want what you promised them. So, give it to them.

The first template will contain a link for your free report, audio, video or whatever. For this example, we’ll use a free report. Because of spam filters, we use bastardized spelling. Here’s your first example:

Hi (first name)!

Here’s the page where you can download your fre.e report: “How To Grow Watermelon’s In The Desert”.

You’ll also get my weekly newsletter with updates on growing watermelons, watermelon farming news and much more exciting stuff!
Okay, here’s the download page: (link here).

Simple. Direct. Right to the point.

Paragraph one, the promise but NO link.

Paragraph two, anything else they get. This is important as a reminder that they will be getting more mail from you.

Paragraph three, the link. Give them what you promised.

Don’t get hung up, as most people do, with the first email. Assuming your freebie is of good informational quality, they’ll be impressed. And they’ll be on your list. You’re offering a freebie in exchange for their information. Give them the freebie and keep the rest to a minimum. Make the freebie top quality. Let IT to the talking for you.

Second Message:

I like to send my message out the very next day. For two reasons. I want to make sure they got the freebie, and to remind them-gently-of who I am. I like to use fun language rather than formal. So instead of ‘dear’ or ‘hello’, I’ll use ‘hey’.

Hey (first name)!

Billy Bob-The Watermelon Dude here!

Two things: I just wanted to make sure you got the free report yesterday “How To Grow Watermelon’s In The Desert”. If there were any problems, just shoot me an email and I’ll get you fixed up.

The report is so popular I recently did a free teleseminar and answered a lot of questions. Sorry you missed the call, but I recorded it and you can listen to it for free by going here: (insert link).

I’m glad to see you on my list. If you have any questions, shoot me an email and I’ll answer it as soon as I can.

Again. Simple. Direct.

The purpose of this message is to build rapport. That’s it. By giving them an unexpected bonus, you build rapport. You build value. By talking loosely, they feel like you are talking right to them. By the way, you’ll be amazed at how many people write to you thinking you actually did write to them personally!

Ten years ago you could get away with really long messages. Today people are just too busy. Give them what they want right away-you promised them free information. Get it to them fast. Make it good content.
